O'Brien DJ Service was founded by radio personality "Chris O'Brien",formerly of "WDRQ Radio" in Detroit Michigan, "WNIC-FM"/"WWKR", Dearborn/Detroit Michigan, was Program Director of "WZZM/WZZR Radio" in Grand Rapids Michigan... worked at "WLAV AM/FM" as DJ and Program Director in Grand Rapids Michigan... "WCUZ/WJFM" (the most powerful FM station in the nation) located in Grand Rapids Michigan, "WYGR", Wyoming Michigan, and "WSHN", Fremont Michigan.
O'Brien DJ Service Is the oldest, largest and most reputable DJ company in Michigan. We have dj'd more weddings, proms and private parties than any other dj company in the area. No one will work harder to make your reception, prom, or party, a night you and your guests will always remember.
We play original, familiar, dancable music from the forties to the present, all tried and tested. Our experience and expertise allows us to mix and bridge the old music with the new, the slow with the fast, in such a way that "all ages" are happy, and the dance floor is filled the entire night. Some dj's give you a list of songs, and tell you to pick out your favorite music; however, we will read the crowd, and play what your family and friends respond best to. That's why you hire a professional dj. We, of course do play YOUR favorites, and take appropriate requests from your guests.
Our equipment is top-of-the-line, including Bose Speakers.. (rated the #1 Professional Speaker). We also use Professional Dual Deck CD Players. We put an emphasis on classy looks and great sound. We can enhance your reception or party with lighting effects, if you choose.
Our DJ's are all professional adults, who will come dressed in a black tuxedo. They will emcee all the special events, and will motivate the crowd with just the right amount of motivation, and without the hype sometimes associated with other DJ companies. We always have a backup DJ, and a backup sound system. We even have a backup generator in case of a power outage (which we have used several times already).
